RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The City of Riverside proudly welcomes Stored Power Technology (SPT), a pioneering energy storage company integrating artificial intelligence (AI) with smart home and industrial battery solutions, as the latest addition to its dynamic clean technology ecosystem.
Relocating from Corona in January 2025, SPT is transforming energy storage by leveraging AI to optimize power usage — providing homeowners and businesses with efficient, adaptable, and sustainable energy solutions.
SPT specializes in lithium-ion phosphate (LFP) battery systems, AI-powered energy management, and EV charging infrastructure. Its intelligent energy storage solutions seamlessly integrate with solar panels and dynamically adjust usage based on weather patterns, grid conditions, and user behavior.
“We are thrilled to welcome SPT to Riverside’s growing green technology hub,” said Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson. “Their focus on innovation, sustainability, and smart home integration aligns perfectly with our city’s clean energy and economic development priorities.”
To celebrate its grand opening and commitment to local innovation, SPT will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and launch event at 10 a.m. Tuesday (6/3) at its new SPT Headquarters – Multi-Function Conference Hall at 2990 Myers St.
This event will also include the Future Forward: Energy Management Innovation Challenge – Riverside Edition. This unique event combines a corporate launch with a student innovation competition, spotlighting the intersection of AI and clean energy while fostering collaboration between industry leaders, academia, and local government.
Driving Clean Tech Innovation in Riverside
SPT’s AI-powered technology is being developed at its newly launched SPT ENERGY AI LAB, led by Dr. Alex Liu, former IBM Chief Data Scientist and Stanford Ph.D. The lab focuses on next-generation solutions such as microgrid control, power forecasting, and intelligent battery management systems.
SPT is also partnering with UC Riverside, the Office of Technology Partnerships, and CE-CERT to expand research collaboration, workforce development, and product innovation.
